School History

Renaissance comprehensive high School , a co educational private institution was founded in 1970 under the control and administration of the original owner Tigbegbe. The founder having noticed the missing secondary school education faculties in the area, passionately felt the gap should be filled so that the area will not be lagging behind educationally. He therefore brought his thought to reality to suit the purpose.

The school remains in the hands of the Administrative founder and his staff until it metamorphosed into what is known today as Ijaiye Ojokoro Senior High School since October 1979.

Expectedly, all structured programs were put in place by the policies of the government. The curriculum reviewed, co-curricular activities and features of an ideal government institution were put around on the 7th Dec 1979,Mr Asaolu G.A was appointment as the 1st principal of the school ,the school was originally known and addressed as Ijaye Ojokoro high school until 2003,later government created another senior school when a junior school was carved out of the same school in other to reduced over population in the school.

When the junior and senior school was carved out of Ijaye Ojokoro Senior High School the name of the school now changed to Ijaiye Ojokoro Senior High School. The motto of the school remains labour and service as inherited from the founder Mr Tigbegbe.

On November 24th 2014 the school was relocated to Oko Oba Primary School, due to the default of the school building. The school has produced many Graduates who are doing well in all facets of learning endeavor. As evidence by them coming to encourage the present Students from time to time as different professionals

Our students have represented and still representing the district, state and the nation in various activities. Our student are known to be effective and vibrant. All hands are already on deck to ensure much better performance.
